Five ways to win my heart

Day 18 of the 30 day blog challenge is five ways to win my heart. McD I hope you are paying attention ;)

  1. Understand that family is the most important thing. To an outsider we may seem absolutely bonkers, but if it was a choice between a hot steamy date with Michael Fassbender and sitting holding grandads hand on an off day I would choose my grandad every single time. My family are the most important thing in the world to me and they are also the best family I could’ve ever wished for. Love my family and my heart is yours.
  2. Food. Are you beginning to understand that I’m a food lover? This is why I drag my son out for miles each day. So that I can EAT!!! Feed me and I am yours. I’m not even that picky, sometimes you can’t beat a bag of chips on the beach. Thankfully McD is a foody too, he took me to an all you can eat chinese for our first date! He’s also a gymmy though so can get away with it. My nan was a cook for most of her life, my mum and aunty have her skills. When we were growing up we didn’t have a lot of money, so there were never expensive toys and presents, but we did have good food. My parents raised six of us and we were never given fast food rubbish. I do remember one time when my mum was at college and my step dad fed us marmalade sandwiches, but other than that we always had fresh home cooked meals. Thanks mum x
  3. Love my boy. There is nothing more beautiful than seeing McD playing with our boy. MY friend was dating this guy recently and I remember her telling met that her boys would never be allowed to visit his place as he cant stand kids, I think its safe to say I’m glad this one didn’t work out. Ain’t nobody got time for that!!!
  4. Buy me thoughtful gifts. When McD and I first got together, for Christmas he bought me an iPod touch, some trainers and some Armani Diamonds perfume. At the time I had a crappy old Samsung that just made calls and texts, I don’t think it even had a camera. McD brought me into the 21st century and since then I have always had an iPhone. I still have the trainers, they are white pumas with little diamantés on them and the perfume is now my favourite. He already had my heart but gifts like these sealed the deal. Its a good job as his choice of birthday gifts that year weren’t so good!!!
  5. Coffee. McD isn’t big on romantic gestures, he has bought me flowers twice in six years of being together. I don’t mind, I get that he’s just not that kind of guy. What he does do is make me coffee. Each morning when he’s not at work we all get up, I spend way longer than him getting ready, but when I come downstairs there’s always a coffee waiting for me on the kitchen side. On those mornings when I’m just too knackered to even switch on the kettle this is the greatest gift anybody could ever give me!

If you haven’t already guessed it, McD has won my heart!
