Everybody Hertz

Last week I saw this picture on FB:

I know what you’re thinking. You are thinking that this is another one of those cheesy stories that someone has made up to try and get as many likes as possible. Well you’re wrong. This is another one of those FB posts that I found the need to research and I can tell you that every word of this is true. There is a lonely whale out there nicknamed 52 hertz that has never in its entire life been recorded communicating with another whale. 52hz was first heard in 1989 and scientists have been keeping an eye on it ever since. Scientists have been unable to identify what species of whale 52hz is and the sex of the whale is still not certain although they are swaying more towards it being a male as the male whales sing to attract a mate. They have two theories as to why it has a different whale song to other whales and they are that either 52hz has a mutation that has somehow affected its whale song or it is a hybrid between two different species of whales, like a blue whale and a fin whale, and therefore one of a kind.
